The formula
Solve y in: Price = Σ C ÷ (1 + y)ᵗ + Face ÷ (1 + y)ⁿ
YTM has no closed-form solution, so it’s found by trial and error (this calculator uses bisection). It assumes coupons are reinvested at the same yield.
